About The Food API
The Food API makes packaged food information easier to work with. We collect and prepare product records so developers, retailers and researchers can use ingredients, nutrition, allergens and barcodes in their own applications.
What we build
Our dataset, The Complete Archive, brings food, beverage and supplement records into a consistent structure. It combines product identities, ordered ingredient declarations, nutrition with serving context, packaging statements and product image references.
The data is delivered in CSV, JSONL and SQLite, giving teams the flexibility to work in their existing databases, applications and analysis tools.
The company behind the data
The Food API is a product of The Direct API Pte. Ltd., a Singapore technology company building data infrastructure and software products. We also build The Beauty API for beauty and personal care product data.
Our focus is practical: prepare useful information, give it a clear structure and make it easier for people to build with.
